Claire joined Vets on Wheels in September 2019. She graduated from University of Liverpool in 2010. Claire’s first job was in mixed practice before starting an internship at Rossdale’s Equine Hospital in Newmarket were she became experienced in the diagnosis and management of lameness as well as a wide range of sport horse conditions. Claire’s particular interest is in lameness and surgery and in October 2013 she started a ‘Residency in Equine Surgery’ at the University of Liverpool, during which she gained experience in all types of surgery and complex lameness investigation. Claire holds the certificate in advanced veterinary practice in equine soft tissue surgery and equine orthopaedic surgery with a particular interest in orthopaedic imaging. Claire also holds a masters degree in the investigation of septic joints and has publications on septic joints and eye surgery. Claire’s research led to invitations to speak at the European and American College of Veterinary Surgeons Congresses in 2015 and 2016, and a BEVA regional meeting in 2018. Claire is also an FEI permitted treating vet. From 2017-19 Claire worked at Nantwich Equine Clinic,UK where she was responsible for equine surgeries and lameness investigations.  Outside of work Claire enjoys riding, distance running, and walking her three dogs Oakley, Frank and Stanley
